Re-design of the Customer’s Car Handover Experience Becomes a Digital Event

Personal car handover experience: Customers picking up their new cars in the Gläserne Manufaktur’s newly re-designed customer tower can look forward to a virtual as well as metaphorical journey through a car’s creation story.

It’s a long way from the first atom to the finished car, a journey that has been creatively transformed into unexpected and impressive metaphoric images for the new car handover presentations. Customers can experience the event in the completely re-designed customer area of the Gläserne Manufaktur from now on. Seven high-performance projectors project the construction history on a 100 m2 surface – goosebumps and faster heartbeat included.

Over three floors, the so-called e-Tower accommodates a reception and lounge area for customers, a studio where consultation meetings take place, and the vehicle handover showroom. The future-oriented re-design of the different areas particularly reflects the themes of electromobility and digitalization. The highlight is, of course, the digital performance which turns the first meeting between our customers and their new car into an emotional event.

Vehicle configuration experience

Customers can also bolt their future e-Golf* together live – at least virtually – in the e-Tower studio. They have plenty of setting options to configure the vehicle according to their own preferences on a large screen. With the help of virtual reality technologies and large-screen configuration, in the future, it will also be possible to advise customers digitally regarding the new ID. family.
