Our Mobile Future Ambassador

Center of Future Mobility: what the Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden stands for.

The automotive industry stands poised at the threshold of a new era. Urban expansion, increase in traffic and its impact on the environment and climate demand new mobility concepts and alternative drive technologies, which offer both significant opportunities and potential: the vehicles of the future will be more networked, more intelligent and, above all, more sustainable. A first step on the path to this new automotive future is electric mobility.

In its roles as a Volkswagen brand showcase and the production site of the electric Golf*, the Gläserne Manufaktur has made it its mission to make this transformation both tangible and clear to its visitors, guests and customers alike.

With our transparent production facilities that are accessible to visitors within the scope of a tour, the world of experience e-mobility exhibition, the e-test drives on offer and the e-mobility charging station, we want to dispel any misgivings or reservations towards e-mobility. Visitors and potential customers can meet product experts on site who can show them in a practical way and explain how electric mobility works in their daily lives.

We see ourselves as a place where topics concerning the future are discussed and advanced, as a forum for new ideas in the field of mobility of the future and a test lab for innovation. Young, talented people in the fields of IT and mobility work on concepts for networked transportation in our start-up incubator, and our manufacturing facility serves as a testing ground for new production ideas with regard to human-robot collaboration. With our Future Mobility Campus, a school lab in the middle of production, we are already promoting the next generation of tomorrow.

The Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden – we make the mobility of tomorrow tangible today
