On course for tomorrow
Volkswagen’s “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” brings the mobility themes of the future to life.
“Die Gläserne Manufaktur” – The enduring symbol of a fresh start for the Volkswagen brand.
The e-Golf has been made here since April 2017, and will soon be joined by more electric Volkswagen models. The e-Production tour gives visitors a fascinating, close-up view of how the cars are manufactured. The e-Exhibition introduces customers and other visitors to new ideas for the future of driving. And free e-test drives are available for visitors to experience electromobility for themselves. As a Center of Future Mobility, Volkswagen is thereby turning “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” into true pioneers and trail blazers for electromobility and new driving solutions.
From August, it will also become an incubator for young start-ups, providing an opportunity for them to work on innovative mobility solutions with our developers and customers. We also organise conferences and congresses where people can come together to actively shape the future. In partnership with the state capital of Dresden, we are working on concepts to make the city’s transportation cleaner, quieter, safer and more comfortable.
Established by Volkswagen in 2001 in the heart of Dresden, “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” is a unique assembly and exhibition centre as well as a hotbed for innovation and a lively place for exchange and engagement.
