Enjoy fresh culinary delights at our e-VITRUM restaurant. Gourmet chef Mario Pattis welcomes you with a choice selection of high-quality dishes made with predominantly seasonal and organic products.
Quality is key for Mario Pattis, which makes e-VITRUM a perfect match for the new, future-oriented concept of the Gläserne Manufaktur. With a reputation that extends well beyond the borders of Saxony, this Dresden-based top chef and culinary expert is known for his original, fresh interpretations of royal Saxon cuisine with a light Mediterranean touch. His special understanding of quality and service is paired with authenticity and creativity in the use of superior local products. With a consistent and transparent focus on sustainable and hand-crafted cuisine throughout all the steps of the process, e-VITRUM offers superbly conceived creations – for everything from a quick visit to a lingering indulgent experience.
The streamlined and seasonal daily menu contains Pattis’ new interpretations of Saxon specialties, including “local heroes” like pickled herring and potato soup as well as special Pattis-style burgers. Even Volkswagen’s classic dish, currywurst (sausage in curry sauce) from Wolfsburg, has been refined by Pattis’ touch.
We sometimes offer the “VW currywurst” as an appetizer in a glass.
The trout, corn poularde, ox cheeks, and pasta are all primarily from the region, as are many of the other ingredients and spices. The premium on local producers also applies to the wines, which you can choose to match your inclinations, feelings, and preferences. Your choice is facilitated by a wine list compiled by Pattis, which contains not only his own classifications but also recommendations to complement your mood and taste.
e-VITRUM’s spacious setting and overall approach make it superbly suited for individual, business, and social occasions on both small and large scales. The restaurant accommodates 80 diners – and another 80 on the terrace in the summer. The ambience of the Gläserne Manufaktur complex, the central location at the Großer Garten park, and the anticipation of a tour add to the attraction and generate experiences and memories of enduring value.
The e-lunch is a 3-course “culinary extra” available every day from 11 am to 3 pm. Its only set elements are the maximum required time of 40 minutes and the price of €19. The menu itself will not be repeated within 170 days and is for maximum 10 people.
Every last Sunday of the month starting at 11 am, a festive breakfast spread with many small delicacies and a “flying menu” await you in the restaurant’s gallery.
From sweet cream and tart fruit – lies behind the appeal of many of the desserts.
Thus fortified you can set off on a guided tour of the Gläserne Manufaktur’s world of production and experience. Afterwards you may continue your culinary journey to music.
