Ten years of growth in the East German automotive industry & new partnership models for the future
A lot has changed in the past ten years in the East German automotive industry. Five German OEMs now have production sites here. Many suppliers have joined them and many have grown – but some have disappeared from the market again. The research environment has developed rapidly. And there is no shortage of technical and functional challenges. Autonomous driving, electric mobility, digitalisation and internationalisation are just a few of the topics that will still be keeping us busy in the years ahead.
Under the heading “Direction of Travel. Ten years of growth in the East German automotive industry & new partnership models for the future”, car manufacturers, suppliers and researchers have put together fascinating insights into the progress made, innovative concepts and strategies in terms of
- mergers and acquisitions and partnership models in the supplier industry
- electric mobility
- virtual reality │ autonomous driving
- interior of the future
- transforming human beings – the future of work
How can we address the current challenges and shape the car’s continued success in the future?
These and many other current topics will be examined at this year’s ACOD Conference and aBB Industry Day.
The conference is organised jointly by the industry associations Automotive Cluster Ostdeutschland (ACOD) and automotive BerlinBrandenburg (aBB) e.V.
