Final destination: “Die Gläserne Manufaktur”!
This year, the Sachsen Classic vintage car rally will finish at “Die Gläserne Manufaktur”.
Saxony’s longest automobile museum is back on the road! Picturesque Saxon panoramas and scenic routes lined with the largest crowds of spectators in Germany lend this rally its very special flair. Around 180 vehicles from almost 70 years of automotive history will participate in the three-day historical rally.
The race will start in Zwickau on 17 August with a “preliminary round” involving six evaluation stages. On the second day, the route passes through the Ore Mountains into the Czech Republic for lunch, then on to Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland. From here, the route leads to Rammenau Baroque Castle for lunch on the third day before continuing on via Panschwitz-Kuckau monastery and Radeberg to “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” in Dresden.
Vintage car enthusiasts are able to watch the cars cross the finish line in Dresden. They can then learn all they have ever wanted to know about the teams, classifications and of course the vintage cars first-hand. The historical vehicles can also be examined up close and visitors can enjoy the occasional shop talk with the vehicles’ drivers. So it’s well worth coming along!
The finish will be celebrated outside “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” with a varied programme of events. Beside cool refreshments and BBQ fare, sun loungers and activities for children will also be offered on the lawns outside “Die Gläserne Manufaktur”.
