What can I expect when I pick up my new car?

First of all, you will be greeted in the customer lounge, a beautifully designed and relaxing space on the top floor of the customer lobby. Surrounded by the high-quality materials of the elegant interior design, it is the ideal place to meet comfortably with a customer manager and discuss what you would like to do and see during your visit. Enjoy a light refreshment and take in the magnificent view of Dresden and our expansive garden while you ready yourself for the exciting day ahead.

As our guest, you will enjoy the privilege of witnessing firsthand the most interesting Phaeton assembly stages. Watch the fascinating marriage event when the car body is meticulously joined to the chassis with millimetre accuracy. After leaving the chassis storage area, it takes about five days before the finished vehicle rolls through the testing station.

Whether you start your visit in the morning with breakfast, or let your impressions sink in over lunch or dinner – the Restaurant Lesage at “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, day and night.

private Shuttle Service
If you arrive by air or train, one of our chauffeurs you will pick you up and drive you to “Die Gläserne Manufaktur”. Just look for a “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” sign labelled “Chauffeur Service”. We’ll also happily pick you up from your hotel in Dresden and drive you back after your visit.
What do I need to do?
If you would like to pick up your new Phaeton, Touareg or Passat CC at “Die Gläserne Manufaktur”, please let your Volkswagen dealer know at the time of purchase. They will then organise an appointment and provide all the necessary information regarding the handover process.
